Experience the magic of the Moroccan desert on this 2-day shared tour from Marrakech to Zagora — the perfect short escape into the Sahara. This adventure is ideal for travelers with limited time who want to enjoy camel trekking, desert landscapes, and a night under the stars in a traditional Berber camp.
We depart early in the morning from Marrakech in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus [minivan for shared tours], crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m). Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and stop for photos at scenic spots.
Our first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous ksar used in many films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You’ll have the option to join a local guide (3 euros/person) to explore this historical site.
After lunch in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa”, we continue through the beautiful Draa Valley, passing palm groves, kasbahs, and Berber villages, before arriving in Zagora.
In the late afternoon, you’ll begin your camel trek into the Sahara to watch the sunset over the dunes. You’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, enjoying dinner, drumming under the stars, and an unforgettable desert night.
After an early morning wake-up to catch the sunrise over the dunes, enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast at the camp. Then, ride your camel back to meet your driver and begin the journey back to Marrakech.
We travel again through the Draa Valley and the Atlas Mountains, with stops for photos and lunch along the way. You’ll arrive back in Marrakech around 6:00 – 7:00 pm, with drop-off at your hotel or Riad.

and all roads lead to tranquility base (Ruhepunkt)
